Egypt has a rich culture that has been passed on for millenniums since the era of pharaohs. Over the years, however, the country has also integrated foreign culture into its practices. For around three millenniums, Egypt has focused on nurturing their pharaohs’ cult and constructing imposing stone structures, otherwise known as the sole survivors of the world’s seven wonders.
In the middle of Cairo and the Nile, the great pyramids emerge. These pyramids are a great connotation of the country’s rich culture sustained to date. Part of the complex is the memorial tomb of the Fourth Dynasty pharaohs: Menkaure, Khafre, and Cheops.
This complex alone attracts millions of tourists to the Giza region. To the right of the pyramids lies the Great Sphinx. Combined, the two serve direct sacred functions and hold great astronomical symbolism.
