Volunteering in Rwanda not only connects an individual with the local community and teaches the diverse traditional cultural life of the country but also experiences one’s version of ‘Gorillas in the mist.’ The country has an astonishing nature considered it is also regarded as the land of a thousand hills. The country is home to mountain Gorillas. It is an exceptional feeling to learn from a country whose people are warm, welcoming, and fun-loving, healing from its gruel past from its independence to the early 1990s. The volunteer services that one can consider participating include community development through agriculture, support education where one will provide the local people with skills, capabilities, and knowledge to impact the conservation processes of the local people who support aid in the local well-being of individuals among many other opportunities being an NGO administration supporter, and an environmental justice assistant.
