The cave paintings from the Khoisan, San, and Bushman cultures, which date to 10,000 BC, are what has been discovered to be South Africa’s prehistoric art. Other cave painters also created magical and spiritual works of art and depictions of domestic and hunting scenes. The colors utilized are generally earth tones like black, yellow, red, orange, white, and gray because they are derived from nature (Rall, 2018). The South African Museum is home to more than 1.5 million important scientific items. The current collections include everything from over 700 million years of ancient fossils to insects and fish collected just recently. Additionally, there are traditional clothing from the previous century, and stone tools made by humans 120.000 years ago.
