The Tanzanian education system is based on a structure of 2-7-4-2-3+, where one spends two years in pre-primary school and seven years in primary school. A kid will then enroll for a four-year ordinary secondary school and for a two-year advanced secondary school. A person will then attend at least three years in college and university for higher education. The country has one of the best Universities in Africa, which includes the University of Dar-es-Salaam, which is the best and the largest in the country, followed by the Muhimbili University of Health and Applied Sciences. The country offers study abroad programs where one can be academically credited for studying abroad for one’s higher education. There are a variety of programs that aid in helping students from Tanzania further their studies abroad. There are also universities in Tanzania that International Students can attend for further education. According to the United States Department of State, there were 602 students from the United States academically credited for studying in Tanzania in the 2019-2020 academic year (USA Study Abroad).
